Important information for incoming 6th graders:

6th Grade Orientation will be held to provide families and students with information about the courses offered at Hamlin Middle School. In addition, Hamlin counselors will be visiting feeder Elementary schools to meet with students and discuss course selections in the next few weeks.

Congratulations to one of our amazing Counselors, Ms. Logue. Today she was presented with the “Glow Getter” award from our District’s Guidance and Counseling Department.

Attentions parents: Don't miss our attendance watch party this month. This will take place at Ray High School.

This weekend, some of our band students competed in the Region XIV Middle School Auditions. The results are as follows. 5th Chair Symphonic Band – Carmelo Moore, Percussion. Out of 58 Percussion. 14th Chair Symphonic Band – Tatum Abbott, Clarinet. Out of 54 Clarinets. Congratulations to these students for earning chairs in the TOP BAND! Other Results: 15th Chair – Nicholas Solis, Percussion. Out of 58 Percussion. 29th Chair - Kaedan Johnson, Trumpet. Out of 50 Trumpets. 35th Chair – Josh Ayala, Trumpet. Out of 50 Trumpets. Congratulations Hawks!

Our staff had a busy day of professional development today. We are ready to SOAR into the 2nd semester with our Hawks!

The Hawks Nest was filled with Holiday Cheer. Ms. Wilhelm's class celebrated their CBA scores, the Grinch made an appearance, our Hamlin Helpers caroled throughout the school, and we wished Nurse Medina and Ms. Vera "Best Wishes" in their retirement.

Thank you to our PTA and HEB for our Holiday Luncheon. We appreciate your partnerships .

Mrs. Melchor-Ruiz's 3rd period class was so excited with their CBA scores! Congratulations Hawks, we are so proud of you. 💙❤️

SAVE THE DATES:
The Ray High School counselors will host a parent meeting at 5pm on January 12, 2026 at Hamlin MS. (IB program 5pm-5:30pm & general information 5:30-6:30pm)
Then the Ray High School counselors will meet with your child on January 13-15, 2026 during their Science class to review course selections.
